Where did 2023 go?
I’m not sure where 2023 went… and I always have good intentions of coming to the blog to talk about the season ahead, upcoming races, race recaps, and an overview of the race season.
But here we are in December of 2023, and I noticed my last blog post was from 2022!
The race season was a great year in many ways – producing content on the back end, executing, and being part of so many race Operation Teams!
My business continues to evolve. When I started, my primary intention was to perform marketing work – which is typically behind the scenes, except for race day. However, this natural evolution has happened of being part of the Operations Team (boots on the ground leading up to race day and on race day) and some Event Planning. 2023 wasn’t my first year of being a part of the Operations Team, but it seemed to really take off this year.

What I am continually learning is that I never have the time that I want to create the amount of marketing content for each client. Since I am a solopreneur, I only have so much capacity each week to do what I need to accomplish. During each year, I assess my capacity constantly – especially when I look toward the future of the upcoming year and what I can do.
In October 2023, I ended my contract with HFP Racing/Greenswell. This was bittersweet as HFP Racing was really the springboard for combining my passion for multisport racing & social media/marketing. I began with them as an ‘intern’ in March of 2019 and could not be happier with the direction my professional path has turned into because of this company.
With new opportunities coming in 2024, it was a hard decision not to have the capacity for HFP Racing/Greenswell going forward. While I know I made the right decision, it wasn’t easy.
I have grown a LOT in 2023 – my business has grown a LOT in 2023. I can’t wait to see what 2024 has in store!
